1.Subterranean Termites:  These are the most common type and live in the soil. They build elaborate mud tunnels to access above-ground food sources.

2.Drywood Termites: These termites live and feed on dry wood without any need for soil contact.

3.Dampwood Termites: True to their name, they prefer moist wood and are usually found in damp and decaying wood structures.

4.Formosan Termites: Often known as “super termites,” these are a more aggressive and destructive species.

5.Conehead Termites: Previously known as tree termites, they are a bit different as they can build their nests above ground in trees, shrubs, or buildings.
